Lazy DAyz...

What happened to Spring? With the weather changing, the overcast sky and cool weather, you'd swear it was October here again. Everyone in my house seems to be chronically sleepy lately.

Mom's days go like this: She watches TV, eats, snacks, dozes off...then it all starts over again.
Even Sprinkles the DOOM PUSS has been affected by this phenomena and she's always been precocious!

***SWIZZLE YER DIZZLE***

I wanted to share this with everyone because it was so clever. On February 11, 2009 my mother Dorothy turned 85 years old. Mom took her first plane trip that day from Salt Lake City, Utah to San Jose, California; she was coming to live with me. The flight crew on board the plane surprised her with the most clever little birthday crown. The crown was completely made from little bags of peanuts connected by red plastic swizzle sticks. Now who would have ever thought of that? I'm always amazed at what people come up with. As you can see in the pictures, the dandy little crown was placed on her head. The passengers joyfully wished her a happy birthday as they each passed her on their way off the plane. She even got a certificate for being a first time flyer which was signed by the whole crew and a new luggage tag. Southwest rocks!
I wasn't sure how she'd react to the take off, bumpy turbulance, looking out the window and the landing that day, but she truely enjoyed herself and her birthday was one to be scrapbooked.

FIRST SIGNS OF SPRING!

Spring is on it's way! The sun is heating up the trees, ground and buildings. It was delightful to step outside this morning and find the brand new daffodils shooting up out of the ground and flower pots. I planted them last year and forgot about it until today. What a nice surprise! My faithful Calundulas fill the yard every year, I can always count on them to come back. Even the ratty weed popping out of a clay pot had it's own cuteness to it. I'm being tempted to bring out my watercolor paints and brushes!
Today's Thought: Whatever feelings you have within you are attracting your tomorrow. Worry attracts more worry. Anxiety attracts more anxiety. Unhappiness attracts more unhappiness. Dissatisfaction attracts more dissatisfaction. AND... Joy attracts more joy. Happiness attracts more happiness. Peace attracts more peace. Gratitude attracts more gratitude. Kindness attracts more kindness. Love attracts more love.
Your job is an inside one. To change your world, all
you have to do is change the way you feel inside.
How easy is that?
